The types of garden fencing available

Closeboard panels provide a neat visual presentation, are excellent for screening and are probably the sturdiest of the fencing panels.

Waney lap panels are good value for money and offer excellent screening which can be used in any location. This panel is only available with a flat top but can also be constructed with a raking/sloping top to accommodate changes in fencing heights.

Double board panels are made from thicker waney boards nailed alternatively one above the other onto vertical battens on the rear of the panel. Side strips are added to the sides on the front and then finished with an apex capping on the top of the panel. This panel is only available with a flat top but can also be constructed with a raking/sloping top to accommodate changes in fencing heights. The double board panel is very similar to the waney lap panels but offers more strength.

Omega lattice top panels is constructed from decorative panels with horizontal boarding and shaped diamond trellis. All panel slats used in the omega lattice top panel fence are planned to a ribbed effect and screwed to the inside battens.

V arched panels offer a good level of privacy in a chevron style with a similar look to both sides.

V arched window panel is a chevron styled panel with a trellis style window offering a similar look to both sides, again all panel slates are planed to a ribbed effect and screwed to the inside battens.

Square horizontal panels create a similar look to both sides using horizontally boarded panels which offers a good level of privacy.

Double sided paling panels are all screwed to the inside battens, all panel slates planned to a ribbed effect.

Elite cross top panels are extremely decorative and really improve the look of any garden and all the timber used is pressure treated green.

Paling panels fencing is the classic garden fencing design solution also known as picket fencing this can be made with either round tops or pointed topped pails. The panels are nailed to back rails with end battens to enable the panels to be fitted between timber posts.

Trellis panels help create enclosures, screens and also create beautiful features in your garden. This type of garden fencing is available in four main types of design standard square, standard diamond, privacy square and privacy diamond. The trellis panel is available three different finishes to the top of the panel these being arch, flat or bow top.

Vertical board fencing is a robust continuous screen also known as either feather edge or close boarded fencing. This type of fencing is constructed on site by concreting posts in, nailing rails to the face of the posts and then boarding the face of the rails using feather edge boards. The top of the fencing can be finished off by adding an apex capping.

Hit and miss fencing is a less obtrusive solution than the close boarded fencing as it has gaps between the boards to let the wind through. This fence can lend itself to changes in ground level through its versatility.

Chestnut pale fencing is a practical low cost solution providing an economical and functional fencing solution with the simplicity that many find attractive. It is ideal for temporary protection for trees, hedgerows and landscaped areas.

Concrete posts are available in two styles plain and rock face. It is constructed using slotted concrete posts and timber panels and concrete base panels.
